Esplanade architecture

The photo below was made on a poodlewalk with Kayla along the Esplanade at Victor Harbor in 2022 with a medium format film camera.

This  was one of our  regular early morning poodlewalks. We would walk along the beach from the mouth of the Inman River to the Granite Island causeway, then return along the footpath to  the car. It took about an hour.

Judging from the negatives that I have scanned so far it looks as if  I didn't make many Fleurieuscape architectural photos in 2022. There's not that much of architectural interest along the Esplanade.

I realise  that  many in the camera industry hold  that medium-format film can't  match the quality of the current FF digital cameras and that medium format film hasn't made business sense in a couple of decades. It's like comparing an early 1970's era station wagon (great for nostalgia if you're into that) to a Ferrari when it comes to image performance. 120 film isn't even close.  Also price - the top end digital option is actually far cheaper when amortized over the years for those shooting regularly, compared to film.

That's the  photographic industry perspective. The art photography perspective is different
